Chinese woman suspected to be ‘Spy’ arrested in Delhi

Foreigners Regional Registration Officer or FRRO records show that the woman had come to India in 2019 using a Chinese passport.

Suspected to be a spy, a Chinese woman was arrested by the police in North Delhi.

The Chinese national was arrested from a Tibetan refugee settlement.

Although her real name is Cai Ruo, however, identity papers showed her name as Dola Lama, who purportedly hails from Nepal capital Kathmandu.

As per reports, she has been living at Majnu Ka Tilla, a Tibetan refugee colony, near Delhi University’s north campus.

When her records with the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer or FRRO was checked, it was found that Cai Ruo came to India in 2019 using a Chinese passport.

As per reports, during interrogation, the woman claimed that some leaders in China’s Communist Party wanted to kill her. Meanwhile, further probe into the matter is underway.
