Heavy storms lashed many parts of Assam late last night causing damage to properties worth lakhs of rupees.

Dudhnoi, Rangia, Juria and Dergaon were the worst hit areas in the storm. Trees were uprooted in many parts causing interruption in vehicular movement.

Moreover, uprooting of electricity polls left many villages of the areas reel under darkness.
