President Droupadi Murmu to arrive in Assam for 2-day visit

President Murmu will attend a civic reception accorded by the Assam government at the Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

After concluding her Triprua visit, President Droupadi Murmu will be arriving on her maiden 2-day visit to Assam today. President Murmu will be landing at the LGBI airport around 1 PM. Following this, President Murmu will visit IIT Guwahati.

Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Assam minister for Science and technology and IT Keshab Mahanta will accompany President Murmu to IIT Guwahati.

Significantly, President Murmu will inaugurate the Param Kamrupa supercomputer facility at the institute.

Further, the event at IIT Guwahati will also include the virtual inauguration of a Medical college and Hospital in Dhubri besides the foundation laying ceremony for zonal institutes of the national institute of virology at Dibrugarh.

Later, around 7 PM, President Murmu will attend a civic reception accorded by the Assam government at the Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

As of tomorrow, President Murmu will be attending a special function at Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra.
