Narco-terror in Assam: HM Shah chairs key meet of SPs

The Centre is on a Mission Mode to eradicate the menace of drugs in entire Assam as well as NE. HM Amit Shah chaired a meet of SPs
Union Home Minister Amit Shah in inaugurated the crucial conference of the SPs at Dergaon in Assam’s Golaghat district. Home Minister Shah addressed the gathering of SPs at the conference and mentioned about the issue of combating the drugs menace in the region.
The Union Home Minister’s presence at the third edition of the SPs’ conference assumes great significance as it comes at a time when the Centre has given a clarion call for a coordinated fight against drugs and narco-terror in the region.
HM Shah had also chaired a crucial regional meet on drug trafficking and national security in Guwahati yesterday wherein he called for seamless cooperation between the Northeast states to tackle the drugs menace.
