According to the PDYF working president, Egenstar Kurkalang the Khasis have their own customs, culture, and civilization.
The People’s Democratic Youth Front (PDYF) on Friday rebuffed the remark made by the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat that all citizens in India are Hindus.
According to the PDYF working president, Egenstar Kurkalang the Khasis have their own customs, culture, and civilization.
Kurkalang further said that the Khasis have their own traditions and have not borrowed any customs from others.
However, also admitted that there has been advancement in technology and the spread of education and mingling with other cultures. But as per him none of the customs, culture, ideology, and philosophy coming from either other parts of India or outside the country has influenced the indigenous Khasis
It is worth mentioning that Bhagwat, who was on a two-day visit to Shillong on September 25 and 26, said during a press conference that all people living in India are Hindus.
