Three north-eastern states – Assam, Manipur and Tripura received awards in three different categories from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Civil Services Day bringing laurels to the region.
While Assam’s Dhemaji district was awarded for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana under Northeast & Hill States category, Tripura’s West district was awarded for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana under the same category.
Meanwhile, Manipur’s Bishnupur has been awarded for Promoting Digital Payments’ Programme under Northeast & Hill States category. While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi described the Awards as a step towards motivating civil servants and congratulated the awardees.
