NSF President K Tep said the federation is apprehensive about the outcome of the decision as it might create room for manipulation.

The Naga Students’ Federation has taken strong exception to the mode of examination as notified by the Nagaland Staff Selection Board wherein the Viva-voce component will form 12.5 percent of the total marks for each group.

Addressing the media today, NSF President K Tep said the federation is apprehensive about the outcome of the decision as it might create room for manipulation.

Here, the NSF President informed that the federation has written an objection letter to the Nagaland Chief Secretary asking him to either scrap the interview system in the NSSB or minimize the percentage allotted for viva-voce.

K Tep also threatened that the NSF will not let the interviews be conducted if the demands are not met.

It may be mentioned here that the NSF along with the rest of the students’ community pitched for the constitution of the NSSB to ensure meritocracy, fairness, and transparency in the examination process.

Pointing out that the Nagaland government has excess appointments in government departments with no work efficiency, the federation felt that NSSB is the right board to bring transparency to the system of governance.
