41-year-old woman raped, murdered in Assam’s Udalguri

As per reports, the incident took place back on August 25, wherein the accused raped a 41-year-old woman and murdered her later.

A disturbing incident of rape and murder has been reported from Assam’s Udalguri district.

As per reports, the incident took place back on August 25, wherein the accused raped a 41-year-old woman and murdered her later.

Not only this, but in order to avoid suspicion, the accused took advantage of the superstitious nature of the local residents and started spreading a rumor that the deceased was actually murdered by a ghost.

As such, the victim’s relatives buried her body without informing the local police.

However, not everyone was convinced by the bogus story of the accused and soon enough, suspicions grew regarding the circumstances of the woman’s death.

Seeing this, the accused out of fear surrendered at the local police station.

The accused has been identified as Bahun Daimary. Meanwhile, police have expedited the investigation into the matter and the buried body of the deceased has been exhumed and sent for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, angry locals especially women today gheraoed the local police station demanding exemplary punishment for the accused.
