In what surely comes as a shot in the arm for the Meghgalaya BJP, former Meghalaya police officer Mariahom Kharkrang joined the saffron party at a joining ceremony in Shillong yesterday.

Kharkrang was welcomed into the party fold by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture.

Meghalaya BJP president Ernest Mawrie was also present on the occasion along with party supporters.

Meanwhile in a big revelation, MoS Arjun Ram Meghwal while speaking on the occasion informed that the centre is in talks with the Meghalaya government to set up a Tribal Museum in the state which will showcase the rich traditions and cultural heritage of Meghalaya.
