Assam Govt holds crucial recruitment; Internet suspended in state

The internet services in all the 26 districts of Assam where exams are being held today has been suspended during the exam hours.
The Assam government is holding the exams for the grade 3 category of jobs throughout the state today. The exams are being seen as a major drive by the CM Himanta Biswa Sarma government to fill vacant government jobs in the state government machinery.
Today the exams are going held in two written sets. The first set of exams began from 10 in the morning and continued till 12 noon. After, the second set of exams took place from 2 in the afternoon till 4 pm.
Noteworthy here is that internet services in all the 26 districts of Assam where exams are being held today has been suspended during the exam hours.
The move is being made to prevent any sort of unfair means being practiced during the exams.
Meanwhile, strict measures and security have been enforced at all exam centres throughout the state. About 9 lakh candidates appeared for the all important recruitment exams today.
Noteworthy here is that on August 21 the first round of exams for the grade 4 category of government posts. On that day also, internet was shutdown throughout the state during the exam hours.
Meanwhile, candidates set to appear for the exams began arriving at the exam centres for the crucial exams.
