Manipur: New science lab inaugurated at Asufii Christian Institute

Reverend Loli Kape, Principal, ACI in his welcome address expressed happiness at the maiden visit of the state education minister.

A new science lab was inaugurated at Asufii Christian Institute in Manipur’s Senapati district by state education minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh, on the occasion of the institute’s Fresher’s Day celebrations on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, minister Th Basanta Kumar, who was also the chief guest of the event lauded the institution for providing all necessary equipment for the benefit of the students.

The minister asked the senior students to treat the freshers as their own brethren by helping them out, adjusting the environment, guiding them, and being their mentors in a positive way.

Reverend Loli Kape, Principal, ACI in his welcome address expressed happiness at the maiden visit of the state education minister.

Losii Dikho, MLA, 48-Mao AC who is also the chairman of Governing Board, ACI expressed happiness at the increase of new students coming to the institution from different places and institutions.

However, when he told people of the area about his vision, people in large numbers from nearby villages came forward and supported him in every possible way including the free donation of land.

A Dedicatory prayer service was also held on the occasion led by Rev. A. Pfokrelo, Executive Secretary, MBCA. Naga and Manipuri traditional dances were showcased during the program to celebrate the occasion.

Meanwhile, in a similar program, Education minister Th Basanta Kumar also inaugurated College Building cum College Foundation Day of the

St. Xavier’s College, Maram Khunou in Senapati on Wednesday.
