The Assam Chief Minister took to Twitter to share pictures in which Jaimangal is seen meeting union minister Pralhad Joshi in his presence.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has slammed the Congress over the allegations leveled by the party accusing the NEDA convenor of attempting to topple the JMM-Congress coalition government in Jharkhand.

Sarma in a tweet has called the FIR lodged by Jharkhand Congress MLA, Kumar Jaimangal in which he accused the NEDA convenor of making efforts to topple the present government in the state, as fake.

The Assam Chief Minister took to Twitter to share pictures in which Jaimangal is seen meeting union minister Pralhad Joshi in his presence.

Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that an FIR filed by Congress MLA Jaimangal was akin to the Congress asking Ottavio Quattrochi to file a case against Bofors.

It may be mentioned that Jharkhand Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal had lodged a complaint against Sarma in Jharkhand, claiming that three party MLAs who were arrested in West Bengal with cash had offered him to meet the Assam Chief Minister and strike a deal to topple the JMM-led government.

Meanwhile, Sarma’s tweet was preceded by a series of fact-checking tweets by Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika where he stated that 5 days before filing the fabricated FIR, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had taken Jaimangal to the residence of Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi in order to help him in his trade union related matter.

Hazarika also claimed that Kumar Jaimangal has been regularly meeting Sarma and should face the law for making a fraudulent allegation against the Assam CM.
