In a shocking incident unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the residence of one of the senior journalists of Meghalaya Patricia Mukhim, the Editor of The Shillong Times newspaper at Shillong in Meghalaya late yesterday evening.
The incident took place at around 8:30 in the evening when two motorcycle borne youths hurled a petrol bomb near her bedroom window. The incident has raised some serious questions on the safety and security of journalists in the region.
Meanwhile, the social media has been flooded with messages condemning the attack on the residence of Patricia Mukhim and extending solidarity with the journalist while demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
