Mizoram’s lone BJP MLA convicted in graft case

#Northeastlive | The State’s lone BJP MLA DR Buddha Dhan Chakma and CEM of Chakma Autonomous District Council Buddha Lila Chakma, were among the 13 people convicted by the Court of the Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act in a graft case. Dr B.D. Chakma is the first legislator convicted in a graft case in the history of Mizoram. Others convicted by the special judge Vanlalenmawia included 2 executive members and two sitting members of district council while 3 former CEMs and the rest of them were former EMs. The pronouncement of the sentences has been reserved for Monday.
