Tripura celebrates rains with Kharchi Monsoon Festival

The evening was a blend of melodious performances by various artists along with the presence of the joint director of Tripura Tourism Arghya Saha.
Kharchi Monsoon Festival, an exclusive music festival, took place for the very first time in Tripura to celebrate together the essence of Kharchi Puja and to be amused by the serenity of nature in the company of the monsoon.
The event was indeed successful with more than 400+ audiences. Everyone enjoyed the garden-fresh tea leaves with the sweet earthy smell of soil at Mekhlipara Tea Estate.
The evening was a blend of melodious performances by various artists along with the presence of the joint director of Tripura Tourism Arghya Saha.
As to mention the festival was inaugurated by traditional hojagiri dance followed by musical performances, mamita dance, and live art.
Further, the event was enlightened more with the presence of ‘INGLISH MAKER’ from Assam. To accentuate the culture more there was also a set-up of a live kitchen for Tripura Cuisine by the restaurant Mairang.
“It was the first monsoon festival organized in Tripura. The main vision of the event was to attract tourist during Kharchi Puja. We are also thankful to Tripura Tourism for their enormous support,” said Himan Debbarma, the festival director.
The event was curated by Agartala Events For You, a venture of TOTELL, a start-up community of Tripura, supported and appreciated by TRIPURA TOURISM, also supported by Agartala Adventure Club.
