With just seven months left for the assembly elections early next year, Tripura’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday launched a state-level organisational strengthening and training camp to boost the party’s preparedness at the booth level before the 2023 assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha election.

The booth strengthening drive is being held with the party’s national general secretary, Dilip Ghosh in attendance along with Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, union minister of state for social empowerment and justice Pratima Bhoumik among others.

Speaking to reporters, Dilip Ghosh said, the organisational meeting is being held with the assembly elections in sight.

MP Rebati Tripura informed that the meeting is expected to build coordination between MLAs and MPs, identify and work on weak areas in their constituencies and selected a set of weakest booths in every constituency to give focus attention.
