N Biren Singh has won the race for Manipur Chief Minister’s post. Union minister and Central observer Nirmala Sitharaman announced N. Biren Singh’s name as the CM.
After nearly an hour long meeting, Sitharaman informed that N Biren Singh has been elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party.

Sitahraman informed that the decision to choose N Biren was taken unanimously and expressed confidence that the BJP will ensure good governance in the state.
So the suspense is finally over, N Biren gets a second term as chief minister of Manipur.

Later BJP observers, leaders both national and from Manipur immediately reached the residence of governor La Ganeshan to formally inform him of the decision.
