Caretaker Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Senior BJP Leader Th Biswajit Singh and Manipur BJP President A. Sarada Devi jetted off to New Delhi for a crucial meeting called by the party high command today.

The three leaders have left Imphal for New Delhi on a chartered flight around 10:15 am.

If sources are to be believed, the meeting in question has been called to discuss deciding the Chief Ministerial face.

As suspense continues over who will be the next Chief Minister of Manipur, the BJP is supposed to send central observers and co-observers to the state for the election of the leader of the legislative party.

For Manipur Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be the observer while Kiren Rijiju will be the co-observer.

Sitaharaman and Rijiju are expected to arrive in Manipur in a day or two for the election of the legislative party leader.
