Close to Indian students who were evacuated from Sumy yesterday have boarded a train from Lviv Railway Station for Poland on the 9th of March.
The students are taking the special train straight to Poland from where flights operating under operation Ganga will fly them home. Indian ambassador to Ukraine flagged off the special train to Poland.
The students are expected to board evacuation flights to India today. This comes as a big relief to the students who had been stuck in Sumy for over 10 days after the war broke out in Ukraine. The family members of the students are also a relieved lot after the development.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the evacuation process was a big success.
