In a tragic development, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has claimed its 1st casualty. An Indian student identified as Naveen has been killed during shelling by Russian forces in Kharkiv. This has been confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs. The student was killed this morning according to government sources by Russian shelling.
With reports of Russia intensifying its attack on Ukrainian capital Kyiv, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued an advisory asking Indian citizens to leave the capital city by today. The embassy has asked citizens to either avail of road or rail services to leave Kyiv immediately as the Russian offensive entered its 5th day today.
The advisory comes in the wake of Russia intensifying its campaign in Kyiv with massive Army buildup. Pictures of a Russian army convoy over 40 miles long is already raising concerns all over the world.
