Manipur CEO Rajesh Agarwal speaking on the voting process informed that the voter turnout has been around 15 percent till 9 am.
Besides a couple of stray incidents of violence, voting has been by and large peaceful so far, he informed. Voter turnout of close to 15% has been registered in the 5 electoral districts of Manipur till 9.30 am.

Kangpoki registered the highest voting percentage so far with a turnout of 15.78% followed by Bishnupur at 14.37%, Imphal West at 12.82%, Imphal East at 10.39%, and Churachandpur 4.97%.
Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh cast his vote at Shrivan High School in Imphal as voting for Manipur Assembly polls got underway on Monday. CM N Biren Singh appealed to eligible voters to cast their votes.
Governor La Ganesan also cast his vote in Sagolband where CM N Biren Singh’s son-in-law Rajkumar Imo Singh is one of the candidates.
