Sikkim Film Promotion Board to work closely with South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce

Sikkim Film Promotion Board (SFPB) chairperson Pooja Sharma yesterday attended a meeting with stakeholders of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) in Chennai.

Pooja Sharma, representing Sikkim, apprised the film commerce body about various initiatives taken by the Government of Sikkim under the leadership of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang and his vision towards the development of cinema and filmmaking as an industry in Sikkim.

The meeting focused on cooperation and various avenues for cooperation between the two organisations.

SIFCC Chennai proposed to send a letter after drawing minutes of the meeting from yesterday’s discussion which would list out requirements needed for film shooting in Sikkim, the release mentioned.

The meeting was attended by Building Committee chairman C. Kalyan, SIFCC secretary Ravi Kottarakra, SIFCC president Katragadda Prasad, SIFCC executives and representatives from the South Indian film fraternity, stated the press release. 

The SFPB chairperson thanked all the meeting participants for helping to accelerate in making Sikkim a favoured shooting destination in the country, the release mentions.
