In memory of Late Lieutenant Colonel Robert TA who laid down his life in an avalanche in North Sikkim, the 33rd Assam Rifles Batallion Headquarters Maram organised a five-day football tournament in Maram under Manipur’s Senapati district from 17 to 22 February.
The Tournament concluded yesterday.
Lieutenant Colonel Robert TA laid down his life in an avalanche in North Sikkim Sector on May 14, 2020.

As many as16 teams from around the local villages participated in the tournament.
Talking to the media, Colonel Arnab Mitra, Commandant of Maram Battalion of the Assam Rifles stated that the tournament was conducted in memory of Late Lieutenant Colonel Robert TA who was the first Maram Naga to get commissioned to the Indian Army in 2004.
