Guwahati-based businessman Avdesh Yadav, who was shot by two bike-borne miscreants last night has succumbed to his injuries.

It may be recalled that the gruesome incident took place at the city’s Chatribari area yesterday when two unknown miscreants shot Yadav in front of his apartment.

Yadav was rushed to the Marwari Maternity hospital in critical condition.

Yadav was shot while on his way back home from work, said Special DGP (Law and Order), GP Singh, without divulging much details.

The investigation into the case is underway.

As per locals, Avdesh was a well-known entrepreneur who used to deal with grocery and textile.

His business was mainly between Imphal and Guwahati.

He also had at least four shops at Fancy Bazar’s Five Star Market complex.

However, links to his association with supari traders have also surfaced. Aadesh was a father of five children.
