As the dates of the Manipur Assembly Elections draw close voters are making up their minds on whom to vote and which issues to vote on.

A section of voters from the Singhat Assembly constituency of Churachanpur told Northeast Live that they are voting for candidates who stand for the protection of tribal rights, empowerment of the Hill Areas Committee by implementing article 371(c) of the Indian constitution, enactment of the Autonomous District Council Bill among others.

Meanwhile, voicing their expectations, most of the voters of the Heglep constituency said that they will vote for the candidates who will work for the all-around development of the constituency with better road connectivity and health care facilities.
Manipur will go for polls on February 28 and March 5 in a two phase elections. Counting will take place on March 10.
