ManipurAssembly Elections: Independent candidate of Mao constituency Woba Joram has assured of improving the basic infrastructure in all the villages under his constituency.
Joram said this during his Flag hoisting ceremony that was held on Friday at Paomata centre-ground in Senapati.
Addressing a rally during the flag hoisting ceremony, Joram promised to work for the holistic development of the constituency with better road connectivity, accessible and better health care facilities, improved water and electric supply, among others.
He also assured of standing for the rights of the tribal in the State if elected.
It may be mentioned that Woba Joram fought election against Naga People’s Front (NPF)’s Losii Dikho as a TMC candidate in 2012, as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in 2017.
He is fighting as an independent candidate from Mao constituency in the forthcoming Manipur Assembly Elections after being denied a ticket by the BJP.
Manipur will go for polls in two phases. The first phase will be held on February 28 and the second on March 5.
The vote counting will take place on March 10.
