Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat‘, which happens to be this year’s first episode and the 85th episode of the Prime Minister’s radio programme.
During the address Prime Minister Modi also spoke on the Rhino poaching in Assam, and how it has come down sharply in the past few years.
PM Modi stated that the people of Assam have shown great spirit in working to protect the state’s pride, the one-horned rhino.

The Prime Minister also lauded Manipur’s Guinness Record holder Thounaojam Niranjoy Singh who broke another Guinness Record for most Pushups in one minute. He added that Niranjoy’s feat will inspire physical fitness among the youths.
The Prime Minister announced that an open synthetic track and Astro-turf football stadium will be built in Ladakh.
The stadium is being built at a height of more than 10,000 feet and will be completed soon. He also mentioned the generous nature of our citizens, who helps others in pursuing their education.

The Prime Minister expressed his joy, saying that over a crore young people wrote postcards to commemorate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’ They wrote on a variety of topics and it made him encouraged by their commitment to national transformation.
The address comes on Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, which is commemorated as Martyrs Day to honour his contribution to the country’s freedom.
It may be mentioned that the first episode of the show aired on October 3, 2014, since then it has been the flagship programme for PM Modi’s.
