Assam reports 2,277 fresh Covid cases, 13 deaths in last 24 hours

Assam’s Covid-19 tally rose to 6,92,811 after 2,277 fresh cases of infection have been reported from the state in the last 24 hours. 

With these fresh cases, Assam‘s Covid positivity rate now stands at 12.57 percent. 

The state’s active caseload stands at a total of 43,816.

Out of these fresh cases, 771 cases were reported from Kamrup Metropolitan district followed by Dibrugarh (140), Jorhat (111), Morigaon (84) among others.

On the other hand, the state also reported 13 fatalities due to Covid-19 during the period pushing the death toll to 6,301.

Meanwhile, a total of 6,118 patients attained recovery and were discharged yesterday bringing the total number with recoveries to 6,41,347. This put Assam’s recovery rate at 92.57 percent.
