Rai will be holding a press conference in Gangtok on Monday during which he may also officially announce the flotation of a new political party.
It needs to be mentioned here that, since former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling returned to the state from Delhi on December 30 after three months in the national capital, the streets of the state have been marked by arson, clashes, and stone-pelting.
Earlier in December, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said that his government would invite the CBI to probe the allegations of corruption against the previous Pawan Chamling-led SDF government.
