Meghalaya CLP leader Ampareen Lyngdoh has demanded that the state government must not sign on to any agreement on the border issue or submit any signatories to the Centre until due diligence has been initiated with all the stakeholders. Lyngdoh said people would be confused if this was not done.
The senior Congress leader’s statement comes at a time when the Cabinets of both Assam and Meghalaya have approved the reports submitted by the respective regional committees.
