Following the general body meeting today at the party office in Meghalaya Lachumiere, Chief Minister and National People’s Party Leader Conrad Sangma was re-elected as the National President of the NPP.
Sharing this on Twitter, CM Sangma said that he is humbled and grateful to be re-elected as National President of the National People’s Party. Thanking all party members for reaffirming their trust in his leadership, Conrad Sangma said that each member has a significant role to play in the party.

Apart from announcing Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as National President, NPP’s National Spokesperson and Returning Officer Abhaya Kashyap announced NPP legislator Thomas Sangma as National General Secretary in charge of the organisation for 2022–25.
The National People’s Party was formed by PA Sangma after his expulsion from the Nationalist Congress Party in 2012. NPP was granted the status of a national party in 2019.
