Sikkim reports 369 fresh Covid cases, 2 fatalities in last 24 hours

Sikkim reported 369 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours bringing the tally to 34,399. The new cases were reported from the 1656 samples tested during the period.

The new cases were reported from the 1656 samples tested during the period. The state currently has 1,726 active cases of Coronavirus.

On the other hand, the death toll from the virus in Sikkim now stands at 413 after two more patients succumbed to the infection.

So far, four persons have succumbed to Covid this year in the Himalayan State.

Of the total fresh cases 228 cases were reported from East Sikkim followed by South Sikkim with (75), West Sikkim with (57), and North Sikkim with nine.

The single-day positivity rate in Sikkim stands at 22.3 percent as per the health department.

Meanwhile, with 48 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries stands at 31,833.
