Arunachal Pradesh: Assam Rifles pays homage to Thoubal IED blast martyr Longdon Wangsu

Longdon Wangsu, the Assam Rifles Jawan who was martyred in the IED blast in Manipur’s Thoubal on January 5th was cremated yesterday at his native village Niausa in Arunachal Pradesh.
Longdon Wangsu, the Assam Rifles Jawan who was martyred in the IED blast in Manipur’s Thoubal on January 5th was cremated yesterday at his native village Niausa in Arunachal Pradesh. Officers and personnel of the 16 Assam Rifles paid rich tributes to the deceased Jawan in a solemn ceremony.
During the ceremony held at Arunachal’s Longding district, Brigadier Vijay Chahar paid tributes to the martyr.
In addition, dignitaries from the civil administration and hundreds of villagers gathered to bid farewell to the son of the soil.
Longdon was killed when troopers of Assam Rifles were patrolling the Lilong Ushoipokpi area where the IED explosion took place. Another Jawan Pinku Das was critically injured.
