Har Ghar Dastak campaign is currently underway in Sikkim to ensure no person is left behind in the vaccination exercise against COVID-19.
The campaign comes at a time when Sikkim, due to the threat of Omicron, has barred the entry of foreign nationals including those from Nepal and Bhutan.
The state government is working on this door-to-door motivational drive to ensure vaccination for all under the campaign.
Sikkim Health Minister Mani Kumar Sharma who is closely monitoring the process said that the state has already achieved 90 per cent vaccination and that the state government is well prepared to tackle any adverse situation.
On the other hand, in the wake of the emergence of the new Omicron variant, the minister urged everyone to follow COVID appropriate behaviour to avoid the infection.
The Health Minister further allayed apprehensions about the treatment of the new Omicron variant, emphasising the importance of precautions.
Moreover, the Anganwadi, ASHA as well as other health workers are working actively in this campaign.
