The Joint Tribal Students’ Association or JTSA, a conglomerate of various tribal students bodies of Manipur, has demanded the resignation of all the tribal MLAs of the state.

The resignation of all the tribal MLAs has been demanded on moral grounds for allegedly remaining as mute spectators in the state assembly on the Hill Areas Committee recommending the contentious ADC Bill 2021 in the assembly.

The JTSA alleged that the silence of the tribal MLAs during the recent assembly session over the ADC Bill 2021 has left the people of the hill districts of Manipur in a state of confusion.

The organization said that the tribal MLAs have the people’s mandate and yet they could not raise the issue in the assembly.

They stated that in such a scenario they are left with no option but to demand the resignation of all tribal MLAs on moral grounds.
