As Covid cases dip in Nagaland, the state government on Thursday announced the second phase of ‘Unlock’ process for seven days from July 11 to July 17.
The decision to implement second phase of unlock in Nagaland was taken by the State government’s High-Powered Committee for COVID-19.
As part of the unlock phase, new Standard Operating Procedures would also be released with further relaxations in the existing lockdown guidelines.
State spokesperson Minister Neiba Kronu speaking to mediapersons, said that the High Powered Committee (HPC) held a meeting and reviewed the situation on the pandemic and have decided to relax some activities for the ‘way forward for Unlock 2’ for another one week from July 11-17.
The Minister stressed on the importance of vaccination and said that the state has to accelerate vaccination drive. The health department has been given clear instructions to reach out all the areas across the state for immunisation.
The HPC also reviewed Nagaland’s preparation for the next wave of COVID-19 in the State.
During the second unlock phase, selected train service would be allowed to operate in the state. Restaurants for take away will also be allowed for the entire week.
The state entered first phase of ‘Unlock’ for ten days on July 1 which was scheduled to end on July 10.
