Ludhiana based Youtuber, Paras Singh was brought to Arunachal Pradesh capital Itanagar on Thursday evening over the objectionable comments he had made against Arunachal MLA Ninong Ering.

Paras, who has found himself in the midst of a racial abuse case was brought to Itanagar at around 8:45 pm.

A three-member special investigation team (SIT) led by Inspector Techi Vijay brought the YouTuber to Arunachal Pradesh after successfully getting a transit remand.

As per information given by the SIT team’s SP Rohit Rajbir Singh, Paras is a Class X passed student and lives with his mother in Ludhiana. Reportedly, he is the sole bread earner in the family.

The police have stated that Paras has acknowledged the fact that he is ignorant about the geography of the Northeast and that he is apologetic for his act.

While it was earlier stated that Paras was 25-years-old, the Youtuber has now confirmed to the police that he is 22-years-old.

He was produced in a local court in Itanagar via video conference today and has been remanded to one-day police custody.

Paras Singh, who goes by the name ”Paras Official” on his YouTube channel, had in a video posted on Sunday termed Congress MLA Ninong Ering a non-Indian and claimed the “state was a part of China”, sparking furore among Arunchalees as well as people from other parts of the country.
