The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Wednesday released its election manifesto ahead of the first phase of Assembly polls in the state.
The manifesto, while focusing on unemployment problem, education and development of economically weaker section, lays stress on implementing the Assam Accord.
The party, an alliance of the BJP has promised to take steps to mitigate the flood problem in the state if voted to power.
The Asom Gana Parishad also promised to solve the border disputes with the neighbouring states. The party has announced to take steps for the welfare of senior citizens, youths and women.
Assam is set to go to the assembly election from March 27. The voting will be held in three phases and the counting of votes will be held on May 2.
