Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has tested positive for COVID-19, said the special assistant on national health services, Faisal Sultan on Saturday.

This comes days after Imran Khan received his first dose of coronavirus vaccine.

Taking to Twitter, Sultan said, “PM Imran Khan has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating at home.”

It may be mentioned that the 67-year-old Prime Minister was vaccinated on Thursday, March 18 with the Chinese vaccine (Sinopharm) as part of the nationwide vaccination campaign.

The country has reported 623,135 coronavirus cases so far.
