In a tragic incident, a 6-year-old girl who was living with her uncle in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her relative’s house on the night of February 28.
As per reports, an FIR was lodged by the victim’s uncle suspecting unnatural death at the Woman Police Station in Itanagar. However, after post mortem reports revealed grievous injury marks on the body of the deceased, a separate FIR was filed suspecting rape and murder.
Meanwhile, police have arrested 3 persons in connection with the case who were reportedly living with the deceased.
Furthermore, a case has been registered at the Woman Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code along with section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
