The Assam Rifles has recovered 120 bags of smuggled human hair without any valid documents near Chhungte area under the Champhai district near India-Myanmar border.

Based on specific information, a joint operation was carried out by a team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department of Champhai district.

The illegal consignment worth Rs. 1.80 lakh was handed over to the customs department.

With extensive anti-seizure operations, the Assam Rifles has been successful in thwarting the smuggling nexus along the Indo-Myanmar Border.
