Preparations underway for Republic Day celebrations in Guwahati

Preparations are in full swing for the 72nd Republic Day celebrations in Guwahati. Troops of Assam Police, Veerangana, NCC cadets and different paramilitary forces have been rehearsing for the Republic
Preparations are in full swing for the 72nd Republic Day celebrations in Guwahati.
Troops of Assam Police, Veerangana, NCC cadets and different paramilitary forces have been rehearsing for the Republic Day parade at the College of Veterinary Science field at Khanapara.
Special arrangements have been made at the venue of the celebrations, keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic. The tests have been made mandatory for all the march-past groups taking part in the Republic Day parade.
On the other hand, security arrangements have been tightened at the Veterinary Science playground to ensure law and order.
Security forces are also keeping vigil in other sensitive areas of the city.
