With an aim to promote tourism in the state, the government of Sikkim is all set to organise a mega promotion event titled ‘Visit Sikkim 2022’.
This was announced by Chief Minister PS Tamang on Monday while addressing the inaugural function of “Capacity Building Training for Tourism Stakeholders of Sikkim”.
The event, held at Chintan Bhawan, was sponsored by the North Eastern Council (Ministry of DoNER) supported by the government of Sikkim and implemented by Travel Agents Association of Sikkim.
Adding that the mega event is planned to last for a whole year, Chief Minister PS Tamang said that the government will draw an outline for the programme with tourism stakeholders and that the government will allocate more funds to promote Sikkim as a major tourist destination.
