The Nagaland government is committed to achieving one solution to the Naga political issue and talks are now heading towards a conclusive end, said  Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio while addressing the state on the occasion of 58th Statehood day.

While talking on the Naga political issue, CM Rio said that a breakthrough has been achieved during the talks between the Centre and the Naga stakeholders. Rio also urged for the oneness among the various Naga stakeholders so that a permanent solution can be achieved over the matter.

Rio also spoke at length regarding the Covid scenario in the state. He said that elaborate Covid protocols have been devised and put into place that have helped a long way in controlling the Covid scenario in the state. He also stated that the Covid situation in the state is under control now.

Nagaland is celebrating its 58th statehood day today. However, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the day is being observed in a subdued manner. The main programme of the statehood day celebrations was held today with limited invitees at the Secretariat Plaza.
