BJP top gun and party strategist for Northeast, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday came out all guns blazing against coalition partner BPF with political temperatures soaring ahead of the BTR elections.

Sarma who is on a hectic campaign trail in the Bodo heartland said that the BPF during its regime has not done enough for the welfare of the Bodo areas.

The state health and finance minister also questioned the BPF regarding the utilisation of funds received from the Centre as well as the state government.

Himanta Biswa Sarma also questioned Hagrama Mohilary regarding the Rs 600 crore package announced during the signing of the historic Bodo Accord.

The BJP strongman exuded confidence and said that the BJP will storm into power in Bodoland Territorial Region.

Hitting out at the Hagrama Mohilary led BPF, Sarma said that the party was not able to foster harmony in BTR during its regime in the last 15 years.

Himanta Biswa Sarma also said that Rajya Sabha MP and BPF leader Biswajit Daimari along with Emmanuel Mooshahary will be joining the BJP soon.

Earlier, addressing a rally at Udalguri Sarma challenged BPF’s so-called monopoly in the area adding that Hagrama’s party cannot stop welfare schemes from reaching the masses. He said that BPF cannot control everything in the BTAD anymore.
