Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday inaugurated the new office of the National People’s Party (NPP) in Imphal, the state capital of Manipur.

The inaugural ceremony of the party office was attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Sh. Joykumar Singh along with other cabinet ministers and party members.

“Inaugurated the new NPP office in Imphal today in the presence of Hon’ble Dy. CM of Manipur, Sh. Joykumar Singh, Cabinet Ministers from the party and party workers,” Conrad Sangma tweeted.

“NPP is committed more than ever to serve the people of Manipur & NE. Thank all our supporters and well-wishers,” the NPP president added.

It is to be mentioned that the NPP is one of the major coalition partners of the BJP Government in the Northeast. The party was founded by P.A. Sangma after his expulsion from the NCP in July 2012 and was accorded national party status on 7 June 2019.
