SBI staffer shot dead outside bank in Manipur, Rs 1.15 crore looted

A staffer of the Churachandpur branch of State Bank of India who was shot by miscreants in front of the branch office succumbed to his injuries at the SHIJA hospital
A staffer of the Churachandpur branch of State Bank of India who was shot by miscreants in front of the branch office succumbed to his injuries at the SHIJA hospital in Imphal at around 1:30 PM on Friday.
As per sources, the incident happened at around 10:30 am. The victim identified as Arambam Ranjan Meitei was shot by miscreants while he was loading money amounting to Rs 1.15 crore in a vehicle.
The money was supposed to be dispensed for ATMs in and around Churachandpur town. The miscreants looted the money after shooting the SBI staffer.
Meanwhile, the district police has launched an investigation into the incident.
