57 more COVID-19 cases reported in Manipur; count rises to 898

Manipur has reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, taking the state’s overall coronavirus tally to 898. Of the fresh cases, 41 males and 16 females were confirmed positive
Manipur has reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, taking the state’s overall coronavirus tally to 898.
Of the fresh cases, 41 males and 16 females were confirmed positive at the VRDLs of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
Among the 57 new cases, 3 are from Bishnupur, 21 from Chandel, 8 from Churachandpur, 1 from Imphal East, 10 from Kakching, 3 from Kamjong, 2 from Kangpokpi, 4 from Tamenglong, 1 from Thoubal and 4 from Senapati.
52 of them are returnees from other states. They have been shifted to Covid Care Facilities.
The five other positive cases have no travel history, which includes two medical officers, one nurse from District Hospital, Bishnupur and two nurses from GBC, staff quarantine Centre, Churachandpur.
The total numbers of active cases in the state stands at 648 and so far 250 persons have recovered from the disease.
