The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland continues to rise as 7 more individuals tested positive for the deadly coronavirus on Friday.
Among these fresh cases, 4 individuals have tested positive in Kohima, 2 in Dimapur while another case has been detected in Tuensang.
It has been learnt that these fresh cases are among those who have returned to the state from Chennai on May 22, taking the total number of active cases to 25.
Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom taking to Twitter informed, “5 more tested positive of COVID19. 1 at Dimapur & 4 at Kohima. All returnees from Chennai.”
“Two more tested Positive for COVID19. Both are returnees from Chennai. 1 from Dimapur & 1 from Tuensang. Now, we have 20 active cases,” Phom earlier tweeted.
Earlier on Thursday, 9 persons had tested positive for the disease. The 9 fresh cases were detected among individuals who returned to the state from Chennai.
Among these 9 cases, 6 persons tested positive in Dimapur, while 3 other cases were detected in Tuensang.
