Amid COVID-19 concerns, 124 students from Assam who were brought from Kota in Rajasthan have been released from quarantine at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.

The students were released in the presence of Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The first batch of students has been released on Tuesday after they tested negative for COVID-19.

A group of Assam students stranded at Kota in Rajasthan was brought to the state by buses with the initiative of the Assam Government.

“Delighted to share that today 1st batch of 124 Kota students quarantined at Sarusajai stadium has been released after being tested negative for #COVID19. Visited the quarantine site along with officials to monitor their release process. Best wishes to these students.#AssamCares,” Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted after his visit to the quarantine facility.
